Swedish racecourse races have been available via America Simulcast since April 2020.

The first known race was held in 1814 in Heden, Gothenburg in honor of a visit by King Karl III to Gothenburg.

The body that regulates this sport in Sweden is the Svensk Galopp, internationally known as the Swedish Horseracing Authority. Approximately 70 meetings are held per year for a total of 500 races, there are currently approximately 900 thoroughbred horses in training in the country.

The Swedish Horseracing Authority prides itself on its strict animal welfare regulations, and around half of its riders and trainers are women. The main racecourse is Solvalla, near Stockholm, since 1927 it has hosted multiple races, the main one being The Elite Race which takes place on the last Sunday of May of each year.

Since April 2020 we have the complete meetings and updates of all racecourses in Sweden. You will have information on each race, its horses as well as minute-by-minute updates on changes in riders, retirements, approximate start times and results.
